Beautiful things

Thought I would share some of the bits and pieces that I have been loving recenty.

My beautiful Urban Outfitters shorts have been great for all the festivals this year. Very comfy and go with everything!

I got this jumper in the Zara sale for an absolute steal of £5! I just loved the design and it was great to chuck on when the evenings get chilly at festivals (the next time I say 'festivals' hit me). Not the greatest quality as the unicorns are coming away at the edges but for £5 -very cute.

It is my birthday at the start of September and my wonderful friends gave me my gift early as I will not see them on the day! Part of my present was this beautiful handbag from M&S. Its a perfect everyday bag and fits endless amounts of clutter inside with the various pockets :)

As featured in my few posts you can probably tell that I love flowers for the summertime - they give a bohemian twist to any outfit. These are all from Primark apart from the smaller daisy one at the bottom which is from H&M.

As much as I love the summer I have been enjoying wearing these beauties again as the evenings get a bit chilly. They are so comfortable and give you a nice height whilst still looking casual. I got them last winter at Topshop (they were quite cheap considering they are leather), no doubt they will bring out something similar this season.

What have you been loving recently?

ShopStyle Festival Shopping Challenge

I saw this competition over on 'girlinthelens' (amazing blog, if you haven't already, take a look!), check it out for the details. Festival season is my absolute favorite time of year for fashion - Patterns, flowers and wellies - whats not to like.

Parka - F&F £30
Wellies - USC £12
Hat - Topshop £22
Sun Dress - Topshop £36
Duffle bag - Matalan £12.00
Sunglasses - H&M £6.99
No festival outfit would be complete without some sort of flowers whether it is a flower headband, or in this case I chose a hat with flower detailing. The parka is for the unpreictable english summer weather and I love how khaki green looks with a delicate white sundress. The duffle bag is a simple cross-over bag so that your hands are free for dancing and its big enough for the necessities. Finally, no festival outfit would be complete without wellies and these lime green ones are particularly amazing as they are glow in the dark and are a bargain. All these items were found through http://www.shopstyle.co.uk/ :)

What are your festival necessities?

Favourites

I was going to do 'March Favourites' but it appears time moves too quickly these days haha. So these are my 'current favourites'...

Shopping again.. oops.

Disco Pants Dupes
I heard that Primark do disco pants and have literally been looking for them everytime I go in the shop. The other day I finally found them and its safe to say that I am in loveeee <3

Disco Pants - Primark (£15)

Crop tops
Crop tops used to make me think of the Spice Girls and dangerous exposure of mid-rifts. However recently I have been finding them a staple for nights out - I have a few lace tops which paired with a plain high-waisted skirt only show a peep of skin and are actually now one of my go-to outfits. Definitely a new love!

Crop Top - Topshop (£16)

Chelsea Boots
This is the third pair of identicle chelsea ankle boots I have purchased (all three from different places) as I love the design and find they go with actually everything. This particular pair are from Diechmann which used to be online-only but recently I found a real-life shop in my local town which was exciting indeed. They were super cheap at about £17. - If you don't have one nearby take a look online as its free delivery + returns.

Chelsea Boots - Diechmann (£17)

Van looky-likes
Another shoe-favourite are these bargain (£6) van look-a-likes from Primark. Can't go wrong really.

'Vans' - Primark (£6)

Music

Nothing much new but obsessed with Mirrors by Justin Timberlake - I could have it on repeat constantly. Also liking Chocolate by The 1975 - my friend showed me it and I lovesss it.

The Box

Downton Abbey
A bit late in the game on this one but I started watching it from Season 1 the other day and have already finished it (too much free time) - can't wait for season 4!

Homeland
I got through both seasons of this in the space of a few weeks - it's so gripping! Definitely reccomend it.

Shoes, shoes, shoes

It has been an AGE since I last posted anything as I just haven't had anything to write about to be honest. However I thought i'd do one today about some of my recent shoe purchases. Part of me doesn't like doing these 'haul' type posts as I feel like i'm coming across as boasting or something, but personally I like reading stuff like this so oh well! Also bear in mind that I probably won't buy another pair of shoes for years now haha as i'm all set.

New Look - £24.99
I have been eyeing up these for a few months now and I thought seeing as my old pair of black heels are falling apart I could treat myself haha. I also had a voucher for New Look from my birthday so wasn't too pricey! I haven't worn them out yet and I can see them killing my feet but I shall persist through freshers week with them on nonetheless.
Deichmann - £14.99
I needed some comfy shoes to walk to uni every day seeing as i'm a good 20 minute walk away this year. I was looking at vans and converse but then came accross these which were a fraction of the price and actually seem very good quality so far! And it was free shipping and free returns online which is always a bonus so definitely check out the website.
Topshop - £45
These are the most expensive boots I have probably ever bought as I always go for the cheap and cheerful pairs you find in Primark or something. However I thought seeing as these are leather boots and from topshop, £45 (£40.50 with student discount) wasn't actually too bad for a pair of boots. They have a mid-heel which I also like as I feel they could transition between night and day and also look a bit more mature than your average flat ankle boots.

Never have I bought so many pairs of shoes within such a short space of time but I think these three pairs of shoes will easily see me through for a looong time :)

I am going back to uni this weekend so I will be sure to post about my new room if it turns out well!
