Summer Holiday

I haven't posted anything in a while - this is because I have just returned from a beautiful week in Bulgaria! I had the opportunity to go away with some friends and it was a beautiful week of sunbathing, eating, drinking and relaxing.

I have never been to Bulgaria before but it was a beautiful place - the weather was mostly amazing apart from the odd 10 minute rain storm. It was extremely cheap in terms of going out for dinner as a two course meal on the beach would cost about £10 which compared to English prices is amazing.

I managed to go the whole week without getting sunburnt which for me, being very fair skinned, is quite the accomplishment! I have pretty much no evidence of a tan though sadly - at this point I have learnt to embrace the paleness!

I ate soo much good food on holiday and found myself forming a new addiction to Greek Salads. In no way are these Bulgarian and I know you can get them here but for some reason I had an ungodly amount of feta cheese on holiday and I love it.

Overall a great week away and im now quite sad to be back in somewhat cloudy England!

Have you got any summer holidays planned this summer?

ShopStyle Festival Shopping Challenge

I saw this competition over on 'girlinthelens' (amazing blog, if you haven't already, take a look!), check it out for the details. Festival season is my absolute favorite time of year for fashion - Patterns, flowers and wellies - whats not to like.

Parka - F&F £30
Wellies - USC £12
Hat - Topshop £22
Sun Dress - Topshop £36
Duffle bag - Matalan £12.00
Sunglasses - H&M £6.99
No festival outfit would be complete without some sort of flowers whether it is a flower headband, or in this case I chose a hat with flower detailing. The parka is for the unpreictable english summer weather and I love how khaki green looks with a delicate white sundress. The duffle bag is a simple cross-over bag so that your hands are free for dancing and its big enough for the necessities. Finally, no festival outfit would be complete without wellies and these lime green ones are particularly amazing as they are glow in the dark and are a bargain. All these items were found through http://www.shopstyle.co.uk/ :)

What are your festival necessities?

Summer Sun

Summer is finally here.

I can't believe my second year of university is complete - it seems like yesterday I was going crazy at freshers.
The last walk from uni
Leaving uni this year was extra emotional as a lot of people I won't be seeing again as next year I will be in Toulouse on my Erasmus year! Me and my friend successfully found an apartment which is perfect and so I am starting to get much more excited to go - it's set to be a great year.

Get ready for a lot more blogging from September as I indulge in french culture (wine, bread and cheese, right?).

My summer is starting swiftly with a week on Bulgaria next week - veryyyy excited indeed. Then followed by a few local festivals and a bit of work here and there and my summer is complete!

What are your summer plans?

May

We Heart It
It is already May... I actually cannot believe it - Christmas seems like yesterday!

Busy May ahead...

The start and end of exam season
If you are a student you will understand what a horrible time this is.. for me this year, however, it consists of one exam (I have a lot of green eyed monsters around me lately..) so I will be officially finished with year two by the 21st May. Time is going far, far to quickly!
The end of Year 2 at university

And with the end of the year comes a lot of goodbyes as I will be spending next academic year in Toulouse so chances are I won't see a lot of people for a fair while! Very exciting prospect to be going but I am certainly going to miss a lot of people.
House-hunting in Toulouse for next year
At the end of this month me and my friend are going house-hunting in Toulouse (/sunning it up for a few days) which should be good! Our aim is to get an apartment with a balcony pour quand il y a du soleil et nous buvons beaucoup du vin ;)
The commencement of summer!
It is finally feeling like it with the beautiful weather we have been having lately. Summer is just around the corner and I cannot wait. Hopefully I will find a job but I aim just to have a relaxing break with my friends in the sun.

May is going to be a good month.

What are your plans in May?

Favourites

I was going to do 'March Favourites' but it appears time moves too quickly these days haha. So these are my 'current favourites'...

Shopping again.. oops.

Disco Pants Dupes
I heard that Primark do disco pants and have literally been looking for them everytime I go in the shop. The other day I finally found them and its safe to say that I am in loveeee <3

Disco Pants - Primark (£15)

Crop tops
Crop tops used to make me think of the Spice Girls and dangerous exposure of mid-rifts. However recently I have been finding them a staple for nights out - I have a few lace tops which paired with a plain high-waisted skirt only show a peep of skin and are actually now one of my go-to outfits. Definitely a new love!

Crop Top - Topshop (£16)

Chelsea Boots
This is the third pair of identicle chelsea ankle boots I have purchased (all three from different places) as I love the design and find they go with actually everything. This particular pair are from Diechmann which used to be online-only but recently I found a real-life shop in my local town which was exciting indeed. They were super cheap at about £17. - If you don't have one nearby take a look online as its free delivery + returns.

Chelsea Boots - Diechmann (£17)

Van looky-likes
Another shoe-favourite are these bargain (£6) van look-a-likes from Primark. Can't go wrong really.

'Vans' - Primark (£6)

Music

Nothing much new but obsessed with Mirrors by Justin Timberlake - I could have it on repeat constantly. Also liking Chocolate by The 1975 - my friend showed me it and I lovesss it.

The Box

Downton Abbey
A bit late in the game on this one but I started watching it from Season 1 the other day and have already finished it (too much free time) - can't wait for season 4!

Homeland
I got through both seasons of this in the space of a few weeks - it's so gripping! Definitely reccomend it.
