Everyday Make-up

My everyday make up is pretty simple these days, I gravitate towards neutral colours mostly - I can't get enough of my Naked Basics pallette!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Maybelline Bronzer
Rimmel Apocalips
H&M Eye Brow Kit
Maybelline Falsies Mascara
H&M Highlighter
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Collection liquid Eyeliner
17 pencil liner
Urban Decay Naked Basics Pallette
I recently picked up this eyebrow kit and highlighter from H&M and they are actually really good! And quite affordable too. As you can probably tell I love Rimmel Products, especially since descovering them in savers (see my last post about that here). And finally my favourite eyeshadow at the moment has to be the 'Naked 2' shade in my Naked Pallette as a simple wash over the eye looks like I have made a lot more effort than I actually did!

The 'Pleather' Skirt

Skirt - Primark Sale £3
Top - £5 - Pull & Bear
I have been looking for a 'pleather' skirt for ages but every time I found one it either fit weirdly or was waay to expensive. I then came across this beauty in the corner of Primark on a Sale rack for just £3! Absolutely love it. Everyone needs a bit of leather in their wardrobe.

Savings at Savers

I recently descovered the little gem of a store which is Savers. If you live in the UK you need to check out this drugstore - it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing but it has such good deals on so many brands! Here is what I picked up recently...

1. St Moriz Starter Kit - £2.99 for set of three (tanner, exfoliater and moisturizer). I have yet to try this but being of a very fair complexion I have decided to test this out this summer. I don't mind being pale but a bit of colour on my legs always gives me the confidence to get them out a bit more!

2. Garnier Cleansing Water - £2.99 You may have recently seen my blog post about cleansing waters and I saw this in Savers and decided to give it a go. With the similar packaging and from what I have used of it so far I would say its a fantastic dupe for Bioderma! Definitely worth a try if you are lazy with my skincare like me.

3. Rimmel Products - all £5 or less. This is the main reason I pop to savers - the fact that I can get my favourite 'Wake me up' Rimmel foundation for just £4.99 as opposed to the RRP of £7.99. Every thing is less than £5 which makes most products a lot cheaper than you would find in Boots or Superdrug!

4. Cleansing Wipes - 3 packs for £1. These are just cheap and cheerful no more to say really.

If you have a savers near you definitely check it out for some Beauty Bargains!

YouTube Love

In the past few years I have become obsessed with YouTube and find myself watching hours worth of content every day these days. I have over 40 channels which I am subscribed to and I thought i'd share with you a few of my favorites!

The Shaytards
I'm sure you have all heard of these lot if you are ever on YouTube! ShayCarl has been 'vlogging' his life and family for over 5 years now and I have to say as weird as it sounds, watching this adorable family often makes my day. I find it insirping that YouTube is now Shay's full time job and the fact he can support his wife and 5 children from purely spending time with his family is amazing to me.

Zoella
This, again, must be a name that you have all heard of. Especially considering she was recently on the cover of Company Magazine! She's a beautiful girl and I love her videos about fashion, beauty and her life. I love her fashion sense so whenever she uploads a 'haul' video I grab a cup of tea and watch it straight away.

Sprinkle of Glitter
'Sprinklerinos' reading this will know that Louise is so funny, down-to-earth, and has the cutest daughter in the world. She is hilarious and her videos are such an easy watch.

Tanya Burr
If I am going out and I want to try something new with my make up I instantly turn to Tanya's videos. Her make up is flawless and she is just adorable to watch.

Beauty Crush
I love Sammi for fashion tips as she is daring with her fashion yet not so daring that I would never wear it.

Persian Babe
I love everything about Barbara. Her videos are so easy to watch and again her style is impeccable and right up my street!

...I could go on forever with these but I will stop there!

Noir et blanc

I recently went to our end of year 'Gala' when I was in Toulouse and thought i'd show you my OOTN!

Dress - Zara
Shoes - Primark
Earrings - Accessorize

I'm not one to follow 'trends' to the letter but I do know lately there has been a lot of black and white clothing around the shops lately. I have embraced the fact that I live in monochrome clothing so this trend is perrrrfect for me! Its always hard to know what to put with a white dress so I went for all black accessories.

Clutch - Primark
Furry Coat - H&M

Of course the downside to a white dress is its a struggle to keep it clean. Needless to say I was devastated when someone spilt a bit of red wine on me during my night! Its not catastrophic though, I think I have just about got most of it out (thank you Vanish!)

If you love the Monochrome trend as much as I do - check out my friend Lara's post about monochrome summer style  lillielar.blogspot.com

What do you think of the monochrome trends?

All good things come to an end

I am officially back in the UK!

I apologise, it has been too long since my last post (so much for 'one post a week' resolution!). But I have just been so busy wrapping things up in France and moving back home.

7 months in Toulouse complete... where did the time go?!

It goes without saying but this past year has been the best of my life. The people I have met and the places I have been have made this year far better than I ever thought it could have been. I will miss the friends I met and Toulouse as a whole but i'm sure I will go back someday.

Toulouse - Je t'aime. But for now, I have exciting times ahead with a 6 month summer to play with and my final year at University.  End of one chapter and the start of a new one!

Stay tuned for a lot more blog posts soon!

Cleansing Water

One of the many advantages to living in France is the easy access to great skin-care products! I heard so much about Bioderma through the blogging world so could't wait to see what all the hype was about. I have also tried Sephora's own version so I thought i'd give you my thoughts on the new trend of 'cleansing waters'.

Bioderma travel size - RRP €3.50
Sephora mini cleansing water - RRP €3.00
I am the most lazy person when it comes to cleansing my skin - its just boring and timely lets be honest. So these cleansing waters are definitely right up my street! I just pour a few drops onto a cotton pad, wipe over my face and voila - done. They are both extremely similar products and do pretty much the same thing - they are unscented, gentle on the eyes and great for sensitive skin. If I had to pick one it would be Bioderma just because I feel like it really takes every spot of make-up off gently.

Do you like to use cleansing waters?
